Ornua Ingredientes Europa, Ávila in Spain is a €30 million state-of-the-art cheese production facility.  The 35,000-tonne processing plant has significantly increased Ornua Ingredients Europe’s pizza cheese making capacity and capabilities.  The facility enables Ornua to lead the way in delivering quality, innovation, and bespoke customer solutions to both European and global QSR chains with a focus on pizza cheese solutions.

Ornua Ingredients Europe, Ledbury is a centre of excellence for cheese solutions into the food manufacturing and foodservice sectors both in the UK and selected export markets. It is home to world-class food manufacturing equipment and our Consistent Shred™ technology for mozzarella and pizza cheese and boasts an in-house customer NPD and innovation centre.

Ornua Ingredients Europe, Nantwich, formerly known as F.J Needs, is a Cheshire-based cheese ingredients company in the UK. The facility includes a well-invested cheese cutting, grating, and slicing facility and is home to the Spinneyfields® cheese brand. The business serves the rapidly expanding foodservice and food ingredient markets in the UK.

Mozzarella & Pizza Cheese

Ornua Ingredients Europe is an acknowledged leader in the field of Pizza cheese solutions including mozzarella, creating innovative, bespoke solutions that deliver excellent flavour, combined with optimum functionality.

The shredded and grated mozzarella cheese and pizza cheese ranges are designed to provide customised performance, excellent texture, coverage and stretch, and a consistent cook for each customer’s requirements.

Grated Cheese Blends & Formats

Ornua Ingredients Europe’s range of grated blends and formats enables specific customer specifications to be met. Cutting-edge machinery means numerous formats are available including grates in various sizes, ribbons, shavings, crumbed and diced in bags from 1kg up to 5kg bags. Perfect portion control is guaranteed thanks to the Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) technology.

Sliced Cheese

Our sliced cheese range comes in 6x1kg packs (50x20g) and are ideal for sandwiches, toasties, baguettes, and gourmet burgers. They add real flare to any meal and melt over burgers to perfection! Slices are available in both a stack and single format.

Cheese Ropes

Ornua Ingredients Europe has the capability to produce the latest in cheese ropes from standard mozzarella to various flavours such as goats cheese, herbs, five cheese, spicy and many others. Ideal for the creation of stuffed crust pizzas, flatbreads, snacks, savouries, and other hot-eat applications. Made from a stretched curd cheese providing a rich, creamy flavour and excellent texture each piece is carefully proportioned and individually quick-frozen for ease of use.

Long, thin and flexible, Ornua’s controlled melt technology can precisely tailor the functionality of the cheese to the end application, for example to fill the rolled crust of stuffed pizzas even after baking.

Processed Cheese

The processed cheese range deliver bespoke solutions, with specific functional properties that meet each customer’s application or cooking method needs. Specific functionality can be ‘dialled in’ to create the desired flavour, colour, firmness, meltability and stretch. For example, Ornua’s restricted melt cheese was specially developed to withstand baking, while retaining its shape and consistency.

To complement the range, Ornua offers cost-effective cheese substitutes, replacing dairy protein and fat to match particular cheese types and functionality requirements.

Sauces

Ornua Ingredients Europe’s bespoke, ready-to-use premium quality sauces include a béchamel sauce for pasta and ready-made meals or appetisers and a vibrant nacho cheese sauce that is perfect for the quick-service restaurant, fast food and food-to-go markets. These added-value, dairy-based sauces offer benefits including controlled viscosity and flavour and can be fully customised to provide specific functional characteristics. Very easy to use, they can be poured, pumped, or spread, in countless applications. 

Spinneyfields

Spinneyfields is Ornua Ingredients Europe’s twice graded, chef approved cheese brand. The first time the cheese is graded is to ensure it is in line with the highest quality and expectations. It is later graded again to be certain it will deliver the functionality required by customers.

Spinneyfields offers a range of different cheeses, from Spinneyfields Consistent Shred™, a no-waste cheese designed to give chefs the consistency and reliability they require, to a range of deli-blocks that ensure optimum quality, performance and consistent taste.

PlantNation™

PlantNation™ delivers exceptional levels of flavour and visual appeal but also performs in ways that make it every bit as practical and versatile as its dairy counterparts. The range consists of three vegan products targeted at the cheese food manufacturing and foodservice sectors, and three vegan super shakes targeted at the coffee shop and foodservice sectors.
