Conor Galvin
Chief Executive Officer
Conor Galvin is Chief Executive Officer at Ornua.
Prior to this role, Conor was Chief Executive of Dairygold Co-operative Society. He was also Finance Director with DCC’s Food & Beverage division, and Country Finance Manager with Procter & Gamble in Ireland.
Originally from a farming background in Co. Westmeath, Conor is a science graduate from University College Dublin, and holds an MBA from the Smurfit Business School. He is also a qualified accountant.
Donal Buggy
Chief Financial Officer
Donal Buggy is Chief Financial Officer at Ornua.
Donal holds responsibility for group financial reporting, treasury management, taxation, ICT and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Ornua, Donal was Group Chief Financial Officer, Independent News & Media PLC (INM). He joined INM as Group Financial Controller in 1996 and in 2002 he was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer, joining the Group’s Board and Executive Committee. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of APN News & Media Ltd. and several other group companies in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Donal was previously audit manager with Price Waterhouse Coopers, Dublin.
A chartered accountant by profession, Donal holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin.
Cesar França
Managing Director Global Foods Division
Cesar França is Managing Director of Ornua’s Global Foods Division and is responsible for driving the continued success and growth of the Kerrygold brand.
With over 25 years’ experience in the FMCG sector, Cesar has held senior roles across Gerber, Milkmaid, NIDO, Maggi, Beba, Lactogen, Laboratories Guigoz, Nestum, Svelty and Nescau.
Cesar holds a business degree and an MBA from the IMD Business School in Switzerland. Cesar speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.
Bernard Condon
Managing Director Global Ingredients Division
Bernard Condon is Managing Director Global Ingredients Division and is responsible for Ornua’s ingredients operations in Ireland, Americas, Europe and internationally.
Bernard joined Ornua in 1998 and has since held a number of senior roles within the organisation, most recently as the CEO Ornua Ingredients Europe with responsibility for trading, key account and value-added ingredients sales of member product, as well as the procurement of product for branded sales. Prior to this, he held the roles of Procurement Manager and Cheese Business Manager.
Bernard holds a degree in Business Studies from Dublin City University, a Diploma in Management from the Irish Management Institute and has completed the Enterprise Ireland Leadership for Growth programme in the International Institute for Management Development in IMD, Switzerland.
Majella Darcy
Chief People Officer
Majella Darcy is Chief People Officer of Ornua and is responsible for developing a HR strategy which will support Ornua’s ambitious growth plans, vital to this is the development and enhancement of the Group’s most important asset; its people.
Majella has a wealth of international experience from over 25 years working with global food manufacturers and retail companies. Prior to joining Ornua, Majella was HR Director with responsibility for Europe & Asia Pacific with Aryzta, with whom she worked for ten years. Prior to this, Majella held senior roles with Superquinn, Dunnes Stores, Clerys, Tesco and Sainsburys.
Majella holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBS in Business Practice, Business Administration and Management.
Gilles Fellens
Chief Growth Officer
Gilles Fellens is Chief Growth Officer and is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, new business development, communications, capital expenditure, and sustainability.
Prior to joining Ornua, Gilles worked for The Coca Cola Company as a Strategy Director, responsible for strategy, planning, performance management, insights and innovation. While with The Coca-Cola Company, Gilles worked in Europe, Africa and Asia in positions at BU and Group level. Prior to joining the FMCG sector, Gilles worked as a strategy consultant for 15 years. A Belgian national, Gilles is fluent in French, English and Italian.
Gilles holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School and an MA in International Politics from John Hopkins University.
John McRedmond
Company Secretary
Chief Risk and Compliance Officer
John McRedmond is Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and is responsible for identifying, analysing and mitigating risk, including commercial risk management, operational risk, legal, insurance, corporate procurement, and compliance. In addition to this role, John is Secretary of Ornua, where he is responsible for the provision of governance and corporate secretariat support to the board of directors of Ornua and its sub-committees.
John joined Ornua in 2010 as Group Legal Counsel and built a team responsible for identifying and managing legal risk across the Ornua Group. Prior to this, he worked in the Corporate Group at Matheson, where he gained extensive experience in M&A and general commercial law.
A qualified solicitor and member of the Law Society of Ireland, John holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Dublin City University and a Diploma in Corporate Finance from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Maurice Hennessy
Chief Technology Officer
Maurice Hennessy is Ornua Chief Technology Officer. Maurice is responsible for the Group-wide digital strategy, development and implementation of Ornua’s overall technology portfolio, the ICT and Information Security functions, along with Ornua’s Business Transformation programme ‘Evolve’.
Maurice brings a wealth of experience to the role and joined Ornua in 2023 from global airport and travel retail group daa plc (previously Dublin Airport Authority plc) where he spent 15 years in a range of leadership roles, including finance, commercial, operational, and capital programme roles. Since 2017, he held the role of Chief Information and Security Operations Officer, leading the business’s CIO function with a focus on the key priority areas of digital, data, cyber resilience, core technology platforms and services and security operations.
Aidan O'Driscoll
Chair
Aidan O’Driscoll is Chair of Ornua having joined the Board in 2022 as Independent Non-Executive Director. Aidan has extensive experience within domestic and international agri-food trade, economics, policy and leadership, having worked in a number of senior roles within Government departments including that of Secretary General in both the Department of Justice and the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine.
Stephen Arthur
Stephen Arthur joined the Board of Ornua in 2021, nominated by Irish Farmers Association. Stephen is a dairy farmer from Wicklow and the current IFA national dairy chairman as well as the former chairman of FMP.
Anne McFarland
Anne McFarland joined the Board of Ornua in 2021 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Anne McFarland is a Chartered Accountant with 40 years’ experience in finance, international business, and governance. Anne’s career has included a number of senior finance roles and directorships with private and listed firms across multiple international markets.
Anne O'Leary
Anne O’Leary joined the Board of Ornua in 2021 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Anne is a Chartered Certified Accountant with over 40-years’ experience. Most recently, she was a senior audit partner with Ernst & Young where she advised a range of international clients across a wide range of sectors.
Diarmuid Lally
Diarmuid Lally joined the Board of Ornua in 2021 nominated by Glanbia Co-operative. A dairy farmer in Co. Meath, Diarmuid has previously served on the boards of Glanbia Co-op and Glanbia Ireland and on the board of Farmer Business Developments plc.
Dominic Cronin
Dominic Cronin joined the Board of Ornua in 2022, nominated by ICOS . He is a member of the ICOS Dairy Committee, a Board member of Boherbue Co-Op and a former chair of the National Dairy Council.

Edmund Lynch
Edmund Lynch joined the Board of Ornua in 2020, nominated by Dairygold Co-operative. A dairy farmer in East Cork, Edmund was previously a Director of Dairygold serving as Vice Chairman.
Jerry Houlihan
Jerry Houlihan joined the Board of Ornua in 2020 and was nominated by Arrabawn Co-operative. Jerry previously worked with Kerry Group plc for almost forty years and is currently a Director of An Coillte.
Joe O'Sullivan
Joe O’Sullivan joined the Board of Ornua in 2020 nominated by Carbery. Joe is a former CEO of Drinagh Co-op where he held the position for over 30 years.
Michael O'Shea
Michael O’Shea joined the Board of Ornua in 2020 nominated by North Cork Co-operative. Michael has over 39 years’ experience in the dairy industry and was previously a Director at Kenmare Livestock Mart Co-Op Society Ltd.
Pat McCormack
Pat McCormack joined the Board of Ornua in 2018, as the President of the ICMSA. John is now the representative of Tipperary Co-operative.
Dr. Sean Brady
Dr Sean Brady joined the Board of Ornua in 2020, nominated by Lakeland Dairies Co-operative. Sean is currently a Director of Animal Health Ireland and the Irish National Stud as well as the former Chair of Food Harvest 2020.
Sean Sweeney
Sean Sweeney joined the Board of Ornua in 2020, nominated by Aurivo Co-operative. A dairy farmer based in Killala, Co. Mayo, Sean was previously on the Board of Aurivo.
